Watch Repairs & Servicing

A high quality wrist watch is a precision instrument that needs to be serviced regularly. We recommend a service at least every three years.

What’s more, when your watch is serviced, the case is cleaned and refurbished which can make it look like new again. We’re able to service most brands of watch, including Rolex, Cartier, Breitling & Omega. If replacement parts are required we guarantee to always use genuine parts not cheaper ‘generic’ ones.

Watch servicing

We are normally able to give an estimate or quotation for repairs and servicing before any work is carried out. We offer the following services:

Dismantling of the movement, cleaning, oiling, assembling, regulating & checking the function of the movement / Repair or replacement of worn or damaged movement parts / Replacement of crystal, tube, crown, push-buttons, helium escape valve, gaskets & battery if necessary / Restoration of water-resistance with above mentioned parts / Refurbishment of case & metal bracelet / Technical& aesthetical final check.

Once serviced the watch is guaranteed for 12 months.

Battery replacement

Battery replacement is something we carry out at Lanes many times every day.

If no water resistancy test is necessary this would normally be completed whilst you are in town. Usually this is of minimal charge, often less than £10.00. Water resistancy testing (to 3atm) is now available in-house.
